What happens the first time?
The first session starts with a detailed physiotherapy assessment.
The assessment is itself a physiotherapy treatment, so you need the dog or cat. We will review the medical records if there has been a prior veterinary consultation. We will examine you physically, check your reflexes, do various exercises to build up a picture of your puppy or kitten's physical condition. Based on this, we will discuss personalised therapy options - if necessary, we will refer you to a pet orthopaedic specialist.
The assessment takes about 45-60 minutes.
Please read the our policy, where you will find a detailed description covering all issues.
Can I bring someone with me, can I stay with my pet during the treatment?
You are not allowed to come to our sessions alone, but please consider that if you come in groups, this may distract the dog/cat and may affect the effectiveness of the session. Of course, you can stay in the treatment room during the session - you are an active participant in the therapy process - but please accept that if the physiotherapist asks you to wait in our comfortable waiting room during the session, there is a professional reason for this.
Am I the only one who can take my pet to the sessions?
Of course, you're not the only one who can bring him. However, we usually suggest that for the first few times you try to arrange for the Owner, who is the primary owner of the animal, to bring him or her, and who will decide on animal health/management issues. Also, your pet will be more comfortable the first time around if it feels safe in a new, unfamiliar place because of the proximity of the owner.
What should I bring with me to the treatment?
For a smooth start, we recommend that you bring or send the following items in advance:
Previous medical records, findings, diagnoses, X-rays or MRI scans
Favourite reward wall, motivational toy - in case the reward walls we provide don't work ;)
Leash, possibly muzzle (if necessary)
And of course your favourite ;)
What rules should I follow during the visit?
We can only accept animals that are healthy and free of infectious diseases, who has a valid rabies vaccination!
Please bring dogs on a lead and cats in a carrier.
Arrive on time - delays will reduce the duration of treatment.
Cancellation or modification at least 24 hours in advance is free of charge; cancellation within 24 hours will be charged with a cancellation fee of HUF 10,000.
Please respect the calm, quiet atmosphere, the safety and comfort of other owners and animals.
Please do not disturb ongoing treatments by knocking on the door or entering out of turn.

What happens if I can't come to physiotherapy every time or can't do my homework?
Rehabilitation is a team effort - the professional guidance of the physiotherapist and the work of the owner at home together lead to lasting improvements.
If treatments are not given as regularly as recommended, or if tasks are not done at home, the healing process may be interrupted or the desired results may not be achieved.
Each session builds on the other during physiotherapy:
muscles, joints, neurological connections are adapted for gradual loading and development;
homework is designed to maintain improvement and reinforce the therapeutic effect between treatments.
Therefore, if visits are missed or home exercises are not done, the Pet Mobility team cannot be held responsible for the success of the rehabilitation or the speed of recovery.
Can I get a bill for the treatment?
Of course! All treatments are invoiced.
Can I buy a gift voucher?
Yes! Gift vouchers are available to surprise a friend and their pet.
Vouchers can also be redeemed for a health assessment or therapy packages. To order, contact us by email.
